Owner and TN Licensed Educator

I began teaching art in 2002. Over the last 20 + years, I have worked with a diverse range of students in Sumner and Davidson Counties. Sharing the creative process with students is my joy and passion. Through the years of teaching art in the classroom, I regularly had parents ask where they could find after school art lessons for their children. Outside of summer camps, options in Nashville are few. I know that creative kids need additional time for making art outside of school in the same way they need academic tutoring, athletics, or music lessons. Recognizing this unmet need sparked the vision for White Brick Art Studio.

When my husband and I built our house, we included my home studio in the plans. We designed it as a multi-functional working space for my personal art as well as a creative space for children and adults. I know from experience that obstacles- like lack of time, dedicated space, materials, and encouragement- can stand in the way of creative opportunities. My vision for White Brick Art Studio is to remove these obstacles and make everything easy. Allow me to do the planning, gather the materials, and provide a place to make a mess. Come experience the joy of art making!

I am a jeweler and a licensed TN art educator. When I’m not in the studio, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two children, and our Golden Retriever, Sunny.
